"Pilipino, Kaya Natin 'To" is the unity project of the season! It is
proof that the Filipino artists have the heart and social consciousness
to join forces, share their talents and be part of a good cause.
"Pilipino, Kaya Natin 'To", a song composed by Ogie Alcasid has some 80
popular and highly respected OPM artists singing together for a
worthwhile cause and even if they are from different recording labels,
they have been allowed to be part of this very significant endeavor.
Along with the cd-single, there shall be a major concert dubbed as
“PILIPINO: KAYA NATIN ITO” at the Mall Of Asia on December 5, 2009.
Think of a concert where you have Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano
together, Billy Crawford, Rico Blanco and KC Concepcion, even, Rachel
Alejandro, Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado singing together for a
good cause! Over a 100 solo artists and bands are sharing their talents
which include Ogie Alcasid, Agot Isidro, Cris Cayzer, Geneva Cruz,
Jamie Rivera, Jaya, Jay-R, Jericho Rosales, Jolina Magdangal, Karylle,
Kuh Ledesma, Kyla, Lovi Poe, Rachelle Ann Go, RCS Singers, Sheryn
Regis, Vina Morales, Spongecola, The Dawn, True Faith, 6 Cyclemind ,
The Hotlegs among others. The proceeds and the donations generated from
this project shall go to the Gawad Kalinga community rehabilitation
program for the people/communities affected by the recent calamities.
Tickets to “PILIPINO: KAYA NATIN ITO” –the all star OPM concert are
already available on Ticketnet. It will under the direction of Rowell
Santiago, writer Noel Ferrer and musical director Marc Lopez. This
whole project is spearheaded by industry leader and OPM stalwart Ogie
Alcasid who has brought together the kapuso and kapamilya talents and
well-meaning friends in the industry and with the assistance of talent
managers Girlie Rodis, Shirley Kuan, Angeli Valenciano, Arnold Vegafria
and Leo Dominguez.
This worthwhile and significant unity project by the OPM and Gawad Kalinga deserves no less than our valued support.
This concert was made possible through the various contributions of
concert suppliers such as Stagecraft, Exile, Forscinc, Soundcheck,
Light and Space, Videosonic, Videogear, Stageriggers, Strong Media
Corp, Beatbox and Confetti Effects under the able production management
of Chevy Salvador as well as additional cash donations from Willy
